Jaguar Land Rover Revenues up 17%


Tata Motors owned British luxury carmaker, Jaguar Land Rover has today reported revenues of £15.8bn for the fiscal year ended 31st March 2013, up 17% year on year (£13.5bn last year). Retail sales increased 22% to 374,636 vehicles, supported by significant product actions including the all-new Range Rover, Jaguar all-wheel drive XF and XJ and the XF Sportbrake. The company generated positive sales growth in all regions: China up 48%, Asia Pacific up 27%, UK up 20%, Europe up 18%, North America up 9% and other overseas markets up 19%. Land Rover Hosts 'Around the world in 80 days' Expedition


British luxury SUV maker Land Rover's plant at Solihull played host yesterday to 16 assorted Land Rover vehicles from Hong Kong, taking part in an epic 'Around the world in 80 days' expedition. They arrived in the UK on 15 July and, whilst on “home soil” made the pilgrimage to Lode Lane, to visit the manufacturing facility where they were first assembled

Land Rover Launches new Freelander 2 S


Land Rover has rolled out a new, price cut S Business edition of its flagship SUV Freelander 2, which will be a new base variant of the car priced at around Rs. 2 lakh cheaper than the existing one. In order to make it more affordable, Land Rover has cut down some features like the sunroof, rear camera, front doors' puddle lamps, driver and passenger's arm rests and powered front seats. The company has also replaced the 7-inch touchscreen and NAV unit with a smaller 4.2 inch colour display with a 6-speaker audio system. In terms of design, the car remains all the same.

2014 Range Rover Evoque details revealed


Land Rover has announced the 2014 Range Rover Evoque, which comes equipped with a range of new comfort, convenience, connectivity features and several new technologies. The 2014 Range Rover Evoque is about 11.4 per cent more fuel efficient and has lower CO2 emissions.The UK buyers can order the vehicle, and it will go on sale in quarter four 2013. The vehicle now has a new 9-speed automatic transmission, new driveline technologies, seven new driver assistance features and detail design enhancements inside and out.

Land Rover launches its first Range Rover hybrid models



Land Rover has introduced its first ever hybrid range rover models - the Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid in the UK, while the product is expected to reach India by mid-October. The vehicles will deliver outstanding fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and has Land Rover's renowned capability and performance. The bookings for the Hybrid models in the UK will start from September 10 with first deliveries commencing in early 2014.
